The Bravehearts Technology And Livelihood Education Organization at the University of Rizal System (URS) - Cainta Campus is fully committed to protecting the privacy of its members, officers, and portal users. We recognize our legal responsibilities under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

In processing your personal information, the BTLED Organization strictly adheres to the following core principles established by RA 10173:
- Transparency: Students are informed of the nature, purpose, and extent of the processing of their personal data through consent forms and our platform's Privacy Policy.
- Legitimate Purpose: We only process data for valid, declared, and specific organizational purposes, such as event management, member verification, and academic support.
- Proportionality: The processing of information is adequate, relevant, suitable, and not excessive in relation to the declared organizational purpose.
3. Rights of the Data Subject
As a student and a "Data Subject" under Philippine law, you are entitled to the following rights regarding the personal information you submit to the BTLED portal:

- Restricted Access: Access to master lists, file drives, and submission sheets is strictly limited to authorized Executive Officers and Faculty Advisers on a need-to-know basis.
- Platform Security: The portal utilizes secure HTTPS protocols. Data stored locally in your browser (`localStorage`) is isolated and not transmitted to unauthorized third-party analytics trackers.
5. Data Retention and Disposal
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the declared purposes or as required by university guidelines. Once a student officially graduates, transfers, or the data is no longer needed for organizational tracking, all associated digital records, uploaded files, and staging folders are securely deleted from our Google Workspace drives to prevent indefinite data hoarding.
6. Data Protection Officer (DPO) Contact
The Executive Board designates an officer (typically the incumbent President or Secretary, overseen by the Faculty Adviser) to act as the primary point of contact for compliance matters.
